A light and bright service for a cold and wintry day - Do join us. Note change of location, please.
We turn from the cradle to the cross.
We end a season of light; epiphany; wow; revelation and begin our journey towards Lent and Christ's Easter Passion.
We draw Christmastide to a close and we mark the increasing light of longer days and Christ as the light of the world, a light to lighten the Gentiles.
We think of his presence with Anna and Simeon in the temple and prophesy fulfilled that at last they could know peace: the Messiah has arrived.
Please join us in the hall as we worship all together (our church just temporarily out of use as we leave the walls exposed to the natural drying time that an unheated church will afford. Whilst stone might not mind the cold, us folk with hearts of flesh would b e rather less inclined!)
We'll eat together afterwards and celebrate the revelation of God in one another and God in Christ.
Please bring all the family the little ones will find an activity for everyone and especially them as we mark, in a special way, the light.
Join us this Candlemas Light lunch worship Sunday.
